Who We AreGoodboro was founded by Danny Mason, Kevin Calderwood, Eric Magleby and John Stevens. Danny Mason is a former partner and Chief Operating Officer of The Kentlands Company. The Kentlands development in Gaithersburg Maryland was rated the "most delightful new Town in America" by the Washington Post and is considered the new standard for smart growth. Danny's partners at Goodboro have been extremely successful entrepreneurs founding multiple private and public companies. For the last six years they have managed the private equity firm they founded: Amp Capital Partners. Amp Capital has funded early-stage businesses, often working with universities. Their investment focus is on socially responsible businesses such as Amp Resources (renewable energy) and iDirect Technologies (broadband internet for everyone). In addition to using their own capital, they have raised hundreds of millions through private and public offerings. Brad Houston, team lead — and a resident of Richfield, Utah — with fellows Matthew McNicholas, Elizabeth McNicholas, and Marichris Trejo, comprise our design team. The team has worked for world-renowned town planning firms such as Porphyrios Associates and John Simpson of London, and Franck Lohsen McCrery of Washington DC. Their past creations include master plans for Snow Canyon (300-acre traditional neighborhood near St George); St. George's downtown; the Olympic Village at Rome; Poundbury, Dorset, and Kings Cross Station in England; the Anacostia Waterfront; and The US Supreme Court Building. |
